For the traditional preparation of a matcha tea, a Japanese bamboo brush, a so-called chasen, is used. The bamboo brush is elaborately made of one piece of bamboo. Only specially trained craftsmen master the special technique with which the bristles are cut and shaped.
For a traditional matcha, place ½ teaspoon of Raab Bio Matcha in a bowl and pour it with 80 ° C hot, soft water. Then whisk the tea with the Matcha broom for about 15 seconds (W-shaped motion).
By using the Matcha broom, a homogeneous, creamy foam layer forms on the tea surface. The broom should be in hot water for a short time before use.
